About Fernando Santos
I’m an Ecuadorian artist based in the NJ/NY area. My paintings revolve in an environment composed of landscape, nature and culture. The landscape exists harmonically in an atmosphere of luminous peace. The nature is figurative and balanced with the wind and the water. The technique that allows me to transmit the beauty of this imagery is watercolor. Watercolor is in some way the poetry of art. Perfect, accurate, full of significance, suggestive and light. The color shines before being adhered to the paper or cloth fibers and dried with its own natural light.
